Our facilities are dedicated to materials and structures testing for Civil and Urban engineering. Concrete solutions are mostly (mainly?) investigated (reinforced and prestressed concrete, fiber concrete, including UHPFRC, low-carbon concrete); however, other construction techniques can be studied: steel, masonry, composites, wood, alternative materials, etc.). Simultaneously (at the same time?) we are developing modelling and engineering approaches to validate innovative construction solutions or to help for ageing structures management. 

Practical work and educational visits with the École des Ponts-Paritech, ESIEE Paris-Université Gustave Eiffel, the GCCD Department of the IIUT in Marne-la-Vallée, ENSA Paris Est, the Centre des Hautes Études de la Construction (CHEC), etc.;

Characterisation of the mechanical behaviour of civil engineering materials and structures, monitoring techniques, concrete defects (from test specimens to structures), project validation as part of engineering and architecture degree programmes, etc.;

Curriculum content for introductory research courses (e.g. the ESIEE’s University Diploma in Research);

Work placements, PhD programmes.

The facilities are used for research purposes and expert investigations; in this context, we collaborate frequently with structures owners, Civil Engineering companies, consulting companies, etc.
