LaPEA - Instrumented vehicle for analyzing driving behavior in real-life situations
The instrumented vehicle, located on the Versailles campus, is managed by the Laboratoire de Psychologie des Comportements et des Mobilités (LaPEA). This equipment is the exclusive property of the Université Gustave Eiffel. The instrumented vehicle is a Renault Modus designed to analyze driving behavior in real-life situations. The device records, in synchronized mode, a range of parameters relating to the driver, the vehicle and its environment: actions on vehicle components (brakes, gas pedals, etc.), video and audio recordings of driving events using four cameras simultaneously filming the exterior of the vehicle and the driver, data from the vehicle's BusCan or independent sensors (temperature, luminosity, humidity, CO/CO2, etc.), distance measurements (radar at the front and rear of the vehicle) and data from an on-board GPS.
