VICTOR Instrumented vehicle for the study of driver's behavior

Lescot's instrumented vehicle, Victor (Véhicule Instrumenté pour l'étude du ComporTement du cOnducteuR) is one of the means used by researchers at the Université Gustave Eiffel to analyse driving behaviors through an open road situation.
The researchers are particularly interested in the interactions between the driver, the vehicle and the driving environment. To carry out these researches, the laboratory equipped Victor with instrumentation, in order to collect data characterising each of these 3 entities. These data are of different types: video, physical, physiological measurements or observations. They are recorded all along the journey and are synchronized between them in real time or in post-processing. Moreover, thanks to a partnership with a car manufacturer, the data circulating on the CAN bus have been made accessible.
