Platform for measuring pollutants from light road vehicles
The platform created in the eighties on the site of Université Gustave Eiffel Bron has been enriched and modernized many times in order to follow the technological evolution of vehicles and standards. It allows:
. the measurement of regulated and non-regulated exhaust and non-exhaust pollutant emissions;
. the quantification, characterization, identification, evolution, aging and dispersion of pollutants in the near field.
Thus, this equipment allows to characterise the energy consumption and the emissions of pollutants, regulated or not, of vehicles. Measurements are performed on a chassis dynamometer that simulates different types of journeys. Measurements in real road conditions are also carried out thanks to on-board systems.
This platform was co-financed by the Gustave Eiffel University, the AURA region (AAP IRICE) and ADEME.

The platform in detail
This platform is the only facility in France available for public and independent research. The tests in controlled conditions carried out on this equipment are complementary to the "in-situ" tests.
The platform is the scientific equipment around which the themes of pollutant emissions and their fate are developed by the EASE laboratory.
This means of testing generates a strong mobilization with university actors (IRCELyon, INERIS, LAMCOS, LCE...) and industrial actors (Michelin, CRMT, TELMA...).
Advances Certificate for Technicians (BTS) on combustion engines,
Turoring in Master and PH(D) degrees, Interships,
Testings for PH(D) students.
Withe the Association for Ecological Maintenance, the platform allows tests pour labellisation of engine cleaning products.
Possibility of demonstrators.
